For a laugh. . .

The old C of E (Church of England for your uninformed types) is good for great diction, wonderful ceremony, exceptional boys choirs, and humor (most of it poked at self)...

Methinks thou art exceedingly whimsical with thy badinage.

I love it! I interruped a Bach flute concerto for this, and it was worth every chortle.

It is interesting that the LCMS has no problem mocking another Church, even one that has largely lost its way, but it rather thin-skinned with respect to its own foibles.

Thin skinned? Have you gone to Lutheran Satire site? Did you follow the convention and the self-inflicted barbs all the way through? The LCMS finds itself not conservative enough for WELS and therefore not "real" Lutheran and too conservative for ELCA and not "real" Lutheran. I think we are doing rather well for getting hit on all sides.
