If the Scriptures teach it, then we ought to be singing it in the Church's song."<br />I don't agree with this. There are those of us who do not sing. Period. Does that mean our faith is lacking? NO! It just means that we are not comfortable singing and some, like me, lift up our voices in words of faith, the Creeds, have our daily devotions and try to be faithful members of the congregation. <br />And, sometimes that is just plain difficult. Especially when the emphasis during the service is placed on music.
