And of course while Fr. Herb was a towering liturgist, he was equally so a preacher. As I have always said of him, he never preached an A plus sermon that I heard, but then again I never heard an A minus or lower either. I imagine what you're talking about was part of her thinking. And the pastor was very helpful when she had difficulty swallowing and would literally choke on the wine - he started dipping the wafer for her.
