As I said once along time ago, this blog represents my meandering thoughts -- not my organized thoughts (as if I were ever accused of having any). I think about things. Sometimes my thoughts hit the mark and people might think them grand and other times they fall flat. They are thoughts. I write them not as theological papers or as position papers. I do not write them as confessional statements. Sometimes they represent a thought in process. Sometimes they represent a thought stuck in concrete. I write them as I would speak -- they are conversational in format.
I started this blog because people had told me they liked to listen into conversations about issues relating to the Church and the Faith and because it gave me a means of posting sermons for those (few) who want to read them again. But for those who get all excited about my skating on the fringe of things and those who wish I might have said things differently, I remind you -- these are my own meandering thoughts, from a Lutheran Pastor, generally about things of interest to a Lutheran Pastor... Nothing more and nothing less...

I told a pastor this past weekend, "Everyone reads certain blogs, but everyone SHOULD read Pastor Peters' blog!"
Thanks for sharing your meandering thoughts.
