In seeking to explain why insurance companies would rally to the new rules HHS proposes for coverage of abortion, abortifacients, and all forms of contraception, the HHS Secretary insisted that not having babies is a critical benefit for women, for the nation, and for the universal insurance coverage. Imagine that -- the worst health problem facing women and our country is kids. And I thought it was cancer or cardio-vascular disease, or one of the other usual afflictions upon good health. Everyday I learn something from the government!
HHS Secretary Sebelius suggested that insurance companies would welcome the new
policy: “The reduction in the number of pregnancies compensates for the
cost of contraception.”
Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Pa., asked her, “So you are saying: By not having babies born, we are going to save money on health care?”
Sebelius replied, “Providing contraception is a critical preventive-health benefit for women and for their children.”
Murphy responded: “Not having babies born is a critical benefit. This is absolutely amazing to me. I yield back.”
Sebelius repeated: “Family planning is a critical health benefit in this country, according to the Institute of Medicine.”
Repeat a lie often enough and people believe it. Right is wrong, up is down. Have we all been teleported to the Land of the Looking Glass? I don't get it. I REALLY don't get it.
ReplyDeleteDo these people actually believe that having a baby is akin to a cancer growth? Must be. That terminating a pregnancy is a "healthier" alternative to having the child?
Lord have mercy on us all.
"Providing contraception is a critical health-benefit for women and for their children."
ReplyDeleteWell, if they don't have children, it's highly questionable if it is a health-benefit for the child! DUH
I find an enigma in the concept that an organization is called Planned Parenthood is designed to Prevent Parenthood. So why should anything else coming out of that liberal bastion of Washington D.C. Pro-Choice is not willing to give women an informed choice but to promote the termination of Life before it can defend itself. they only accept one choice not choice in general
ReplyDeleteSo now we have moved from the age old lie that the elderly are not a benefit and must be weened out of society to children. BOTH are a God send, one in the knowledge and wisdom they impart and the other to soak that knowledge and wisdom and grow it even more. The 'wisdom' the HHS is imparting is the foolishness of sin, and only a true fool would deny that Satin is behind it. But then again, we who feel that are unable to see 'reality'.
