The Random Thoughts of a Lutheran Parish Pastor
Fascinating, and beautiful. Egg tempera, too. Few people use the technique, but it is the only medium that can render the rich, deep colors that are almost alive.
Ah!!! That is George Kordis!!! My priest studied iconography in Greece with him. We met him when he came to visit our priest last year. And I have his prints in my icon corner at home. I am told by those who know these sorts of things that he is truly one of the gifted iconographers of our time. Thanks for posting this.
