Too true. Wish I could say Bishop Schori's and the Episcopal church in America's behavior could be attributed to lead poisoning!
We had a lady (British) in our former subdivision who had gargoyles she had collected on her front porch. She finally had to move them to her back yard.

Maybe we should have included some in our renovations! I haven't heard that many medieval church buildings had serious leaks from their gutters...

I think that you are correct about the medieval roofs not leaking, but all that lead was quite a burden to bear!
I love the gargoyles, and I would like to add some to my home. I'm afraid, however, that the homeowners association would object.
