You knew it would come sooner or later...

Leave it to the Anglicans... though I am sure the ELCA is not far behind!

Just plain wrong...

  1. These are the Canterbury pseudo-Anglicans. The Anglicans of the Continuing Churches would not countenance such nonsense.

  3. I just received an e-mail notice of a reply on this article that read as follows:

Anonymous has left a new comment on the post "You knew it would come sooner or later...":

Canterbury versus Anglicans of the Continuing Churches? What are those?

Ummmmm.....No one else outside of the Anglican church can separate the "good" Anglicans from the "bad." The outsider's perception is that the Anglican church leaders admire Bishop Schori and cannot wait for the rest of the Anglican communion to "catch up."

Not to throw stones, but Lutheranism has that perception problem as well. A "liberal" Roman Catholic sect? Bah!

Fr.D again here. It is really strange that the comment is not here, even though the e-mail went out. Anyway ...

I want to reply to Mr. Anonymous' comment as follows:

You said, "The outsider's perception is that the Anglican church leaders admire Bishop Schori and cannot wait for the rest of the Anglican communion to "catch up."

That must be those who are so outside(r) that they have no clue what Kate has done. She has been like a wrecking ball in a Church that was once entirely orthodox and conservative (not too recently!). She is systematically suing to steal Church property from one local parish after another, all across the country because the do not buy in to her heresies. She has stolen Church building built and paid for locally, without a cent of ECUSA money, and systematically destroyed parishes that have existed for many generations.

Kate Shori and her cronies have systematically destroyed two parishes that I have personally belonged to in the past: St. Edmund's, Elm Grove, WI, and St. James the Less, Philadelphia. These buildings now stand empty, of no use to anyone, but they belong to ECUSA now, not to the people who built them, worshiped faithfully in them, and were then thrown out.

Under Kate's reign of terror, the size of the ECUSA has continued to drop like a rock; I believe it is now under 2 million nation wide, whereas 30 years ago it was pushing 4 million.

Her theology is the UN Millennium Development Goals, not anything out of the Bible. She believes in the "sacraments" of abortion, queer sex, and just about every other thing specifically condemned by the Bible.

Those so far outside that they cannot see any of these things should really take a look. It will make any true Christian SICK.
