This speaker makes a good point about worship, and he is correct in stating should not be " fun". He however, lacks balance and perhaps he is not Lutheran? Lutherans for example like to quickly skip over good Friday and rush into the resurrection. We don't want any sadness or extensive grief involved in our services. Dwell on the "joy" of the resurrection instead. There are also scriptural support for being joyful in worshipping.
Perhaps to be fair to the speaker he needs another's session to get it right? Drab worship is not biblical.
Funny that you said Lutherans like to quickly skip over Good Friday and rush into the resurrection. Take a look at most of the great hymns of Lent and Good Friday and you will find the authors are Lutheran!
