About 20 years ago, I was living for a summer in the Washington, D.C. area. During that short time, I was preaching at churches needing pulpit supply. At one church, for the late service, the worship "theme" was Star Trek. I was, of course, to be Captain Kirk. Naturally, I refused. That didn't stop the service, and I don't know who led it. I took my family and left. The folks there were so condescendingly nice about it all, though. Their explanation about it was something like: "Oh, Pastor Gleason just thinks a little differently about worship and didn't feel comfortable leading us."
And don't forget to mention the ever popular "Beatles Mass" to round out the massive church movement to pander to the culture. The Beatles celebrated in the Christian Church. Now there's a match for you.
Reprehensible and all in the Spirit of Vatican 2 (lies). God help us.
ReplyDeleteOh, to cower with the disciples behind locked doors again.
ReplyDelete"We need to do this, because worship attendance is way down."
ReplyDeleteGod works through His appointed means. I dare say that He did not appoint these idolatrous actions and will not work through them.
