This is “inculturation” at its finest!! This was taken at the Amazon synod which is proving to be a farce. While there is already a schism in the Church, it will soon be “official.”
The photo is of the Antichrist at a Mass in Zimpeto Stadium in Mozambique in early September. The photo comes from a September 8, 2019, article, "Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing?," which appears to believe the photo was taken in Madagascar and also states:
"Wits are already asking what he will wear next. A seal skin chasuble in the arctic? A grisly bear outfit in the Canadian Rockies? And what will he wear in the Amazon? And will he take his wife?"
The Amazon Synod is meeting in Rome during October.
Well Carl, it is not often that I will "somewhat" agree with you but this time, the ludicrousness of his "outfit" speaks volumes about what he thinks of the office that he holds and his beliefs. I will leave it at that.
However, not ALL in the Church are on board with him as I'm sure you know. There will be an official schism in the Church and the goats and lambs will be revealed. This is not news. This has been anticipated. It is just happening in our life time.
"In the latest edition of La Repubblica, Pope Francis' longtime atheist friend and interviewer, Eugenio Scalfari, claims that the Pope told him that once Jesus Christ became incarnate, he was a man, a 'man of exceptional virtues' but 'not at all a God.'
"In a statement issued Oct. 9, reported by Church Militant in Rome, the Vatican said, 'As has been affirmed in other occasions, the words that Dr. Eugenio Scalfari attributes between quotes to the Holy Father during his colloquies held with him cannot be considered as a faithful account of what was effectively said, but represent more a personal and free interpretation of that which he heard, as appears entirely evident from what was written today concerning the divinity of Jesus Christ.'
"Church Militant's Michael Voris commented, 'That is the relevant part of the statement, and it, in itself, is now creating its own firestorm because it does not actually deny Scalfari's characterization, merely hinting at the possibility.'
"'Likewise, it does not affirm in any fashion that Pope Francis does indeed hold the divinity of Christ during Our Savior's earthly ministry,' said Voris."
And then there is the September 10, 2019, article describing a May 28th meeting when Francis dons a Naga tribal headdress presented to him by Bishop James Thoppil, 60, bishop of Kohima in north-east India.
Congratulations, all of you, for fulfilling and reinforcing every negative stereotype of petty, bickering, sectarian zealots. The 8th commandment lay in ruins here. I was looking for a church to attend. This is more of the same. No thank you.
And just where, Anonymous @11:54 AM, are specifics that substantiate your sweeping accusations?!? Without substantiation, your post is simply projecting to all the other posts.

More pontifications hit the fan:

Well, at least it’s FAKE fur; wouldn’t want a false head of the church wearing the real thing,..

So were Martin Luther's comments about the pope true? Or did he foresee the future?
Cliff, are you referring to Martin Luther's statements in the Smalcald Articles about the pope?
