Absolutely shocking. . .

What ought to shock is not that the police were called or the church got hate messages but that in a city of about 500,000 people, one small Lutheran congregation was the only church to hold worship services.  Now that will probably go unnoticed but it is what I found most shocking in the story.

You read it for yourself here.

Catholic masses are not being held, Pastor, but my small traditional Anglican parish is streaming the Holy Communion service, and the priest is then offering communion in the church, family by family, or in cars, to those who come after, and have watched the service. We say a confession and then receive. I have received, and I know others have, too.

As far as I can see, ELCA churches are closed.
