Color me surprised
I have not had a moment to look at the counters but now that I have taken a glance, color me surprised. Since this blog began, more than 12 million of you have clicked to see what has been on my mind. I thought it might die out but in the last month, more than 1.4 million of you tuned into this blog and on one day alone 200K gave this blog a look see. It seems to be growing. I do not know what to say. It amazes me that something as antiquated as a blog still works in this age of new and better things. I am immensely grateful for your interest and your loyalty. I have no plans to cease this little endeavor but will have to work out how it all looks going down the road. Thank you for your many words of encouragement. I make no claim to know everything but just enough to be dangerous and my mind continues to be piqued by the journals, online articles, and books that fill my days. There are a few more meandering thoughts in this pastoral mind waiting to be set free. While I pray I have not offended you, I do hope to have triggered your own consideration of the things posted and unleashed your own meandering thoughts. Thank you.

The reason a blog like this grows, while many falter, is because it is filling a spiritual hunger in people. In a world always on the move, Christian people and seekers often face alienation and confusion, wrestling with conflicts inside and outside of themselves. Our faith in Christ, though secure and steadfast, remains in a state of continuous spiritual warfare. The world, the flesh, and the devil afflict all who call on the Lord. Yet, there is strength in the working of the Holy Spirit, in the word of God, and in fellowship with other believers. It is right for us to discern what is happening around us, to find wisdom and reaffirmation in Christ, and be aware, but not too attached, to the world. If one finds some benefit to this blog, it is that we can freely speak and learn, and in many ways, make some sense of the chaos around us. But more importantly, this blog should help us see the urgent need we have of a life of faith in Christ, where despairing sinners find grace and hope. And faith in Christ gives one’s life purpose, meaning and direction. Soli Deo Gloria
