Eco-Church. . . it is the coming heresy

I hesitated to post it because, well, frankly, the Episcopal Church has become an easy target and a seemingly endless source of goofiness, apostasy, and foolishness.  That said, I had to repost some of what Jeffrey Walton reported.  It is old news but such strangeness is never old news.  It is an oddity if it existed side by side with the faithful truth of Scripture and the authentic Gospel of Christ crucified.  In the absence of Scripture's truth and the Gospel's life, it is worse.  It has become the substitute for God's Word and sits in place of Christ in the Church He established with His blood.  It may be fun, relevant, and even edgy but it is the mark of a hollow and empty church.  How sad it is when you see a once mighty church reduced to an earth worship cult in place of the true and essential mission of proclaiming Christ and Him crucified!

Episcopal Grace Cathedral Goes Green in Liturgical Eco-Disaster

Fresh off publicity from their recent Beyoncé Mass, Grace Cathedral is back with more liturgically questionable performance art in a worship service. This time, the San Francisco Episcopal Cathedral hosted a multi-faith service “of wondering and commitment” as part of the September 12-14 Global Climate Action Summit featuring participants on stilts dressed as trees:

  1. Even the Roman Catholic church is joining in on the fun:

  2. Aaaaaand here is another event held in St. Stephens Cathedral in Vienna. Conchita Wurst prays to God for protection and for God to end discrimination against others who wish "to live different lifestyles" (see video, beginning at 27:41):

  4. Anonymous,

You're painting a broad brush when it comes to the Catholic Church. That German Cardinal is an idiot. There are many who are orthodox and wouldn't tolerate such a spectacle.

  5. The Francis papacy and the sodomite clergy scandal have shown that the body of the RCC hierarchy have serious problems, even from an RC perspective. A man like Chaput is very much the exception rather than the rule.

  6. Chaput, Sarah and others line them are exceptions. Where you’re wrong is that it is not a “rule” that one must be a sodomite receive holy orders. Be careful with what you say...

  7. I didn't say it was a "rule." Be careful with your attempts to read...

  8. It was implied in your statement.

  9. Not to someone with a command of English.

  10. Well of course that’s one of your many “opinions” but given your persistent critique of my Church, that is how I read your statement. I wonder what your thougts are regarding issuues within your ecclesial community esoecially the ECLA and Nadia Bolz Weber. I’m sure she paints a nice picture of Lutheranism right? But I know she doesn’t speak for the millions of other faithful and orthodox Lutherans.

  12. Seriously, if you read what I said to mean there was a rule requiring RC clergy to be sodomites you really are struggling. Is English your second language? If so that would explain it as the common phrase dealing with an exception rather than the rule might be unfamiliar and you might adopt a highly wooden understanding of it.

The ELCA is an apostate church and I have no association with them.

But I don't claim that the LCMS is, in and by itself, the visible church.

  13. Mr. Gray, I had a traditionalist RC Priest read your statement and he said that I misinterpreted what you wrote. so, you’re absolved

  14. That's nice. I'm amazed it was misunderstood in the first place.

  15. Now say 5 Hail Marys, 10 Our Fathers, a good Act of Contrition and read the entire Baltimore Catechism for your penance and edification. Also read the letter of James and do some good works for the neighbor you dislike the most.
