Lutheran Summer Music

Now that summer is heading into the final stretch, I am writing to encourage youth interested in music and their parents to consider the Lutheran Summer Music program.  It is literally the best kept secret in Lutheranism.  Watch the video below to see what I am talking about.

Lutheran Summer Music will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2011. We return to Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, June 26 to July 24, 2011 and will celebrate this milestone with special events for current students, LSM alumni, and supporters. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks and months.

This is a life-changing event for a young person. Not only are they exposed to world-class musicians and teachers, but they are immersed in daily worship and Christian life. New friends are made from around the U.S. and around the world.

This is a MUST for any teen who enjoys playing an instrument - any instrument - and/or enjoys singing. Horizons are broadened by this wonderful experience.

Parents of the teens are also transformed when they are privileged to attend the concerts and recitals at the end of the four-week experience.
