When others say it better than you...

Every now and then I read something and wish I had written that... actually it happens more often that every now and then.  This is one of those times.  Pastor Larry Beane has written well on the subject of worship in our Lutheran churches and of the great temptation to find a "style" that is not too high and not too low but just right.  So let me pass it on to you and suggest that you share it with any Goldilocks Pastors or people you find...

Goldilocks, George Carlin, and the Middle of the Road...

BTW if you are not already reading Gottesdienst Online, do yourself a favor and start... and don't forget the fine printed journal as well!

Faithful members in the pews patiently waiting for a pastor to become less timid is good. Not-so-faithful members in the pews simply biding time till they get a new pastor more to their liking scares the bejeebers out of me.

And yes, Fr. Peters, Gottesdienst online should be read by all those faithful people in the pews....
