Had to settle for being Pope...

It seems the papacy was not Benedict XVI's dream job -- he three times applied for and was three times passed over to be the Vatican's chief librarian...  Hmmmm, there is a lesson there somewhere...

BTW I thoroughly understand.  Given the expansive collection and scope of the collected works housed in the Vatican Library, I would love for nothing more than to spend the rest of my days looking at its secrets, its treasures, and its collections.  In that respect, I am much like B16 -- there is no chance I will ever be given that job either.

If only Concordia had 37 miles of books!

Take comfort in the fact that you are at least part of the way there with your personal library.

Also, you have one requirement fulfilled; you use a fountain pen!
