The stunning reredos in this picture leaves me awestruck and yet at piece. Oh that we were the masters of art and beauty in service to the Gospel that other ages have been! Would that we could muster the will and courage not simply to repristinate what has been but extend the example of yesterday into the present moment and leave such a living and lasting legacy of faithful truth and beauty to those who would come after us...
