Stunning video. . .

Over two years ago, the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church of St Elias the Prophet in Brampton, Ontario, was completely destroyed by fire. The parish community has been working ever since to put together a plan for funding and building a new church.  The first video shows consecrations service.  Click here for a Facebook video of the the main dome being craned into place and is followed by the the bells of celebration.  October 2, the head of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, will consecrate the finished church.  The second video shows the completed exterior from a variety of views. The result is really quite stunning.  They have constructed a wonderful facility which is fully consistent with their history and identity and yet a modern building.  It can be done.  It is not cheap or easy but the result makes all the effort worthwhile.  I think you will agree that the end result is magnificent!
