Hey, can it get better than this? A guy walks into Borders, picks up the Concordia: Readers Edition (some have so maligned) and read it until it led him to the light of Lutheranism... Listen up!
If this were the *only* person who read it and used it, the project was worth it, but we know many, many more have been blessed to open and read about what we believe, teach, and confess!
There was no "fiasco" the plot by the JesusFirst liberals to destroy this edition failed and the very point at which they challenged the book was actually made even stronger after the DR process ended up NOT insisting on any matter of substance in their review.
And, we've sold in excess of 100,000 copies of the book. The so-called "controversy" only even more interest in the book and even more copies were sold.

Which edition did he read - the first or second? There are two editions. Remember the fiasco created when the libs challenged the Book of Concord?
The Kolb-Wengert edition is the one used in our LCMS seminaries.
It sounded to me from the interview like he's moving to St. Louis with his family. Do we know if it's for seminary studies?
Now, now, everyone calm down.

All's well that ends well.
