So now what. . .

What should we do now that Trump has won?  We should do the same thing we should have done if Clinton had won.  Let us pray for those elected.

Lord, keep this nation under Your care. Bless those now elected and all the leaders of our land that we may be a people at peace among ourselves and a blessing to the other nations of the earth. Grant that we may choose trustworthy leaders, contribute to wise decisions for the general welfare, and serve You faithfully in our generation; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

O merciful Father in heaven, because You hold in Your hand all the might of man and because You have ordained, for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of of those who do well, all the powers that exist in all the nations of the world, we humbly pray You graciously to regard Your servants, Barack our President; Donald our President elect, the Congress of the United States and those newly elected therein; our Governor; and all those who make, administer, and judge our laws;  that all who receive the sword as Your ministers may bear it according to Your Word;. through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

Almighty God, grant integrity and well-being to all who are in authority in our nation and in this community, especially Donald Trump, our President elect and Michael Pence, our Vice-President elect. Grant them grace and wisdom to rule according to Your good pleasure, to the maintenance of justice and to the hindrance and punishment of wickedness, that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and honesty; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

Almighty God, You have given us this good land as our heritage. Grant that we remember Your generosity and constantly do Your will. Bless our land with honest industry, truthful education, and an honorable way of life. Save us from violence, discord, and confusion, from pride and arrogance, and from every evil course of action. Grant that we, who came from many nations with many different languages, may become a united people. Support us in defending our liberties, and give those to whom we have entrusted the authority of government the spirit of wisdom, that there may be justice and peace in our land. When times are prosperous, may our hearts be thankful, and in troubled times do not let our trust in You fail; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

In case you need help remembering what and how to pray. . .
