Charles Colson, who fell asleep in the Lord today, was 80 years old and for nearly half that time had served the Lord through Prison Fellowship, which he founded in 1976 after spending 7 months in federal prison for Watergate-related crimes. His confession of wrongdoing, his repentance and his conversion to Christ (told in Born Again) were as genuine as anyone could ask for. He was a new man in Christ.
He knew the word repentance not as a word but as the Spirit's work in him.... He was not a perfect man but he was a good man, a man of faith, whose smile on the outside mirrored the hope that lived on the inside...
