When a public teacher on the roster of Synod can without consequence publicly advocate the ordination of women (even participate vested in the installation of an ELCA clergy person), homosexuality, the errancy of the Bible, the historical-critical method, open communion, communion with the Reformed, evolution, and more, then the public confession of the Synod is meaningless. I am saying that if my Synod does not change its inability to call such a person to repentance and remove such a teacher where there is no repentance, then we are liars and our confession is meaningless. I do not want to belong to such a synod, much less lead it. I have no intention of walking away from my vocation. I shall rather use it and, by the grace of God, use all the energy I have to call this Synod to fidelity to correct this situation.

Marquette is a Roman Catholic institution affiliated with the Jesuit order, one member of which is Pope Francis. According to Catholic author Howard Kainz, Marquette has suspended and banned from campus a tenured professor for saying that arguments against gay marriage should be allowed to be discussed in class. Meanwhile, a theology professor who advocates abortion and now considers himself an atheist keeps teaching, with no questions asked.

Who are you referring to as a heretic? Scripture requires that we "mark" such according to Romans 16:17. Vague articles like these are not helpful. Be more specific, please.
The 2004 synodical convention delegates approved Resolution 8-01A which added bylaws that effectively blocked the synodical president from exercising any meaninful ecclesiastical supervision over unLutheran DPs, especially those who refused to carry out their own sworn eccesiiastical supervision responsibilities. The vote was 683 to 528.
Article VIII.B.2 in the LCMS Constitution requires 24 of 35 DPs approve any request from the SP for a special convention to correct this travesty. There are very likely a dozen liberal DPs who could block such an attempt.
The 2016 synodical convention should overturn that Resolution and chastise the 683 delegates who voted for such perverted revisions to the bylaws. Many delegates registered their votes on the 2004 8-01A resolution. Those names should be made public, especially those who registered their vote in favor of the resolution. Those (especially pastoral) delegates, who did not register their vote, should be queried by their congregations on which way they voted.
Kiescnick's damage to the Synod rears its ugly head once again.
"When a public teacher on the roster of Synod can without consequence publicly advocate the ordination of women... then the public confession of the Synod is meaningless."
These words should also apply to an ordained pastor on the roster of the Missouri Synod who, since 2009, has been the General Secretary of a church body that allows and promotes women as ordained pastors and bishops with the reported goal ("Faktisk har de satt seg et mål om å ha 1000 kvinnelige prester innen 2017!") of having a thousand female "pastors" by 2017.

"Kiescnick's damage to the Synod rears its ugly head once again."
It was Ralph Bohlmann who started it all by getting the 1992 convention delegates to dump the Adjudication Process and replacing it with the Dispute Resolution Process the LCMS is saddled with today. Ironically in 1992 Bohlmann got dumped as well.
Still more ironically, Bohlmann was the person who in 1973 wrote "A Statement of Scriptural and Confessional Principles," one of the binding doctrinal statements approved the convention of the Missouri Synod.
A great start, but let's see if anything comes of it.
First guess, Kirk - not much more than some huffing and puffing. Linneman will remain the DP.
Consider another disgraceful LCMS member, Pacific Southwest District President Larry Stoterau, who should have had his kiester booted right out of the Synod for approving and sending to the Synod the colloquy application of a former XXXA serial adulterer, and for allowing the ex-XXXA pastor, who for a while ran an unlicensed Vegas wedding chapel, to serve since 2012 as pastor of a Las Vegas LCMS congregation. The Purple Palace has known about it; they have done nada.
