Got My Thrivent Calendar And...

Was oh, so disappointed, when I realized how few saints days fall on a Sunday (in the section of the church year known as ordinary time).  I love it when in the midst of the loooooonnnnnnggggg green season we get a dose of red (or white, occasionally) to remember the Biblical heros whose life and confession have supplied us with such witness.   Sadly, 2010-2011 is not a good year... perhaps I will have to transfer a few of those days... hmmmm... Yes, we have the technology, we can make it better than it was before! (For a whole lot less than $6M, too)...

So why not celebrate the Liturgy for the saints on the actual day of the week when it falls? Instead of complaining about the lack of saints on Sundays, why not proclaim them and the Gospel they preached on that day?

We do, Chris, but to a relative handful in comparison to the 300 there on a Sunday...
