I would not, could not, not in a church...

I posted about these before, the so-called Seusscharist, here is a video, footage of an actual service at St. George's Anglican Church in Guelph, Ontario on Sunday, June 13, 2010.  Is it no wonder that people do not take the sacraments seriously when the people leading them promote such empty silliness and parade it as "fun" for the kids?  Really...

I hate to say it, but the Cat In the Hat outfit is not too far off from some of the vestments Catherine Jefferts Schori wears.

What were the elements? Green Eggs and Ham?

That was a pretty horrendous disgrace!!! Please accept my apologies on behalf of all faithful Anglicans. That was the ACoC, and they have wandered away into heresy.

To see the opposite approach to Anglican worship, here done by RCs, go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Q251EywW__M

This will show a much nicer picture, except that it is RC.

The last one I posted about was in the ELCA. This is the first one in the Anglican circle that I posted. BTW even this is more liturgical than some of the crap I find in some LCMS congregations. Once while bringing my daughter to college, my wife and I had a choice between an LCMS clown service (I hate clowns) or a polka mass style LCMS service. We ended up at an ELCA congregation which did the liturgy right out of the book. Just because I post these from others does not mean our own house is without guile.

I'm a new Lutheran. Confirmed Oct. 31, 2012. Came out of evangelicalism / weirdness / Calvary Chapel / Joel Osteen / skinny jeans Calvinist (what a mess I was).

Anyway, this video really is upsetting. I am not shocked by much from all I've seen, but this, THIS. Unbelievable.

I notice you said, Pr. Peters, that you have seen bad stuff in the LCMS, too. I'd like to know what. I'm LCMS and keep hearing from people that a lot of the churches are going down. How? Not legalism, but seeker-sensitive? Is that what you are seeing?
