Does anyone here see the contradiction?

It is a shallow ecumenism, indeed, when a Roman Catholic Cathedral serves as a borrowed home for the "installation" of a female ELCA bishop by the female ELCA presiding bishop.  If you do not have the guts to say "no" to something which contradicts Roman Catholic teaching so clearly, then what hope do we have of a real conversation on the doctrinal differences between Rome and Wittenberg?  In the end, these are not exactly confession Lutheran folks so we might presume that Roman lite is also the flavor of the Marquette cathedral and diocese.

Despite its oxymoronic location, the installation of one heretical bishopress by another heretical bishopress of a religious organization embodying apostasy (as publicly described by LCMS President Matthew Harrison and the CTCR) in a church building of the Antichrist seems somehow apropros.

How are we to know that the cathedral is Roman? Can't an ELCA diocese (or whatever they are called) have a cathedral?

I am far past being shocked by these things today. . Progressive churches like ELCA are beyond hope, and devout Christians must just attend to the matter of their own personal faithfulness to God's word, join a solid Bible believing church, and live separately from the values of our fallen culture. Apostasy abounds today in American churches. We cannot stop it on our own. But we must take care to retain the fundamental apostolic faith and avoid compromise ourselves.

ELCA doesn't have "bishops," but only "synod bishops;" and these hybrids or chimeras don't have cathedrals.
