Though I have never been to Rome and do not anticipate going anytime soon (as a tourist, I am speaking, so calm yourselves down). . . Rome is filled with churches that are hidden treasures... here is San Marco:

Looks like an EO church. I've had the pleasure of observing this one in person. Ineffable.
San Marco is in Venice, not Rome. And it is a Byzantine style church. The artisans employed were brought over by Venetians after their sack of Constantinople in 1204.
